Soup is the easiest thing in the world to make, yet when I offer soup by the quart in the café I’m overwhelmed by orders.
My friends say I should teach a soup-making class. Show people how easy it is.
I say not everyone wants to learn to fish. Some just want the fish.
I don’t need to know how to make a guitar in order to enjoy playing one. I don’t need to know how to sew, or make shoes, in order to appreciate my clothes and these awesome boots.
We’re allowed to pick and choose what parts of the process to embrace, what parts we can leave for others to embrace.
Me, I’m happy selling people the fish. Figuratively speaking.
