Soup is the easiest thing in the world to make. I sell it by the quart and am often overwhelmed by orders.

My friends say I should teach a soup-making class. Show people how easy it is.

I say not everyone wants to learn to fish. Some just want to eat the fish. And that’s okay.

We’re allowed to pick and choose what parts of the process we want to embrace, what parts we can leave for others to embrace.
