lost & found in flyover country

mostly poems. published weekly.

I went to school to be a journalist. That didn’t work out, so I got a job playing records on the radio for a living.

That worked out okay until the industry collapsed and we all lost our jobs.

I moved to the midwest. Opened a coffeehouse. Ran two art galleries. Worked at the local food co-op. Owned a pay-what-you-can vegan cafe. Hosted a local-food podcast at our public radio station, where our funding model has just collapsed and we’re all losing our jobs.

See how history rhymes.

I’ve always written poems. They are my favorite subversions. They seem so harmless. That’s their superpower.

I make art. You can find some of it here (tho not much at the moment, sorry!) I also have a small press project and host a local spoken word series. You can learn about those here.

Thanks for visiting.
