Because so much of the work is done lying down, somatic meditation can put people to sleep. In a group setting, the facilitator will usually make a point to the effect that if the body wants to sleep, the body should sleep. No worries.

So many people are sleep-deprived. I don’t want to begrudge them their rest. It’s not kind.

Except there’s usually snoring. Which bothers me more than it probably should. Reminds me of my own years of sleep-deprivation. Which in turn reminds me of how grateful I am to sleep alone now. Undisturbed.
