Slow Time

“January is so slow,” my fellow northern-hemisphere friend said to me. “Three days in, and it feels like weeks.”

I think that’s how it’s supposed to be. Slow time. It comes around twice a year, in January and in August. One for drawing in, the other for stretching out.

Abiding in the cosmic breath.
