I’ll be in the company of a half-dozen good friends in the From Her Heart exhibit March 6-28 at my old haunt, Penny Lane Coffeehouse, in the Arts District of historic Downtown Evansville. The art bra has become a favorite breast cancer fund-raising item, but as an activist friend of mine points out, there are other diseases far more difficult to raise funds for than breast cancer, one of them being AIDS. My local artists community has been working on art bras to be auctioned to benefit AIDS research and local outreach. Here’s a peek at my contribution, but for the full fashion show, you’ll have to come to the Mardi Bras “Support Can Be Beautiful” Benefit on February 14th in Evansville, Indiana.
